Talented Youth earn top APHA World Show
awards
FORT WORTH, TEXAS-The American Paint Horse
Association (APHA) named its top Youth World
Champions June 29, 2006, at the John Justin
Arena of the Will Rogers Complex in Fort
Worth, Texas. The World Show is APHA's
showcase event, during which Youth from
across the country gather for a week of
world-class competition dedicated
specifically to them. After the conclusion
of qualifying events, several high-point and
All-Around titles were presented to
outstanding competitors.
High-Point Western, won by Casey Hicks of
Williamsville, Mo. This outstanding young
rider rode two horses on the way to the
High-Point Western Youth title: Doctor Delta
D and Senoras Delly. He earned a World
Championship in Youth heeling, and Reserve
World Championships in Youth breakaway
roping, goat tying and steer stopping. For
his win, Hicks took home a Western saddle,
courtesy of Blue Ribbon Saddlery; a saddle
pad, courtesy of Pro Orthopedics; a pair of
boots, courtesy of Boulet Boots; a $100 gift
certificate, courte sy of S.R. Gold; and a
