Stallion Monies are paid
out in the following manner:
-15% is
kept by Futurity for expenses and the
remainder is divided as follows:
-70% for weanlings
-20% for the yearlings (Halter and
Lunge Line)
-10% for the 2 year olds |

-Weanling Halter Youth
Class for exhibitors 16 years old and
under. Sponsors covers the cost of
the belt buckle. |

Entry Fees: |
-$25 per class
(weanlings) and $50 per class (yearlings
and older) if post-marked by first
deadline |

Eligibility: |
Foals that are born the
following year are eligible for the
futurity. Any foal. |

Judge Selection: |
Three Judges are hired
and kept secret until the day of the
show. |

Special Awards: |
-Belt Buckles for Early
and Late Division Weanlings. Belt
Buckles for the Youth Class.
-Sire of
the Year- A High Point Award for the
Nominated Stallions. Points are
awarded to Stallions at the Futurity.
A stallion whose foal places first in a
class of 22 horses will receive 22
points. The second place foal in
the same class would earn 21 points for
their sire. The Stallion receiving
the highest number of points is the Sire
of the Year. |

Changes/Goals for the
Future: |
-The NWMSOF plans to grow
their futurity for 2008. Last year
27 stud fees were sold and the class
with the highest entries was the
Weanling Filly class with 22 shown.
-Larger payouts are planned for the
yearling and 2 year old classes. |
