The Five Star Futurity
The Five Star
Futurity hit the ground running in 2007 with its
inaugural show being held in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Striving to offer a futurity that was easy on
the pocket book, but big on fun, a group of
seven equestrians came up with an event that is
sure to become on of the most popular futurities
in the Midwest.

Unique Features: |
-All foals (any age)
resulting from nominated stallions are
eligible for the Five Star Futurity for
the current year.
-Do-Over classes
Select 2 Year Old Western Pleasure and
Select 2 Year Old Hunter Under Saddle.
Any exhibitors that placed 3rd or below
have the opportunity to "Do the Class
Over."

Entry Fees: |
-Select Classes: $100
when paid by first deadline.
-Jackpot
Classes: $50 when paid by first
deadline. |

Eligibility: |
All foals by nominated
stallions are eligible to show in the
year the stallion was nominated. |
|
Judge Selection: |
Judges are selected by an
outside consultant who keeps these names
secret until the day of the show. |
|
Special Awards: |
-In 2007, a Reserve World
Champion Buckskin Dun Weanling Stallion,
The Five Star Secret, was sponsored as a
giveaway by Wild Basin Ranch. Exhibitors
finishing 3rd place or lower in the
futurity are given a chance to enter the
drawing.
-Gist belt buckles are given away in
all Select Futurity and Jackpot Futurity
classes.
-A high point saddle is given away
to the High Point Palomino Horse
-new weanling Harris show halter is
given to the winner of the select early
filly class
-Many of the classes have added
money- up to $500 per class!
-Large Number of donated items for
Random Drawings. |
