The Dodge County Horsemen's Association
It is rare to find a futurity that funds a designated benefit each year, but the Dodge County Horsemen's Association does just that.  50 percent of the money raised in their annual stallion service auction is donated to a benefit recipient.

Show Date: -First Sunday in August
-Held in Conjunction with DCHA Pleasure Show
Show Location: Dodge County Boots and Saddle Club Show Grounds
Hemlock Road, Beaver Dam, WI
Target Breeds: All breeds
Stallion Auction: -Usually the First Sunday in February.  Bid in person, by phone, or by mail.
Mare Nominations? Mare nomination deadline is December 31 of the year of the Stallion Service Auction.
Payback: Of the monies directly connected from the Stallion Service auction, expenses are first met.  Of the remaining monies, 50% will go toward futurity purse and the remainder toward a designated benefit. Entry fees from additional entrants from get of Stallions will be added to total payouts.
Unique Features: -50% of the monies raised from the Stallion Service Auction go toward a designated benefit.  Nominations for the benefit recipient are open until the August Meeting.  Nominations must be submitted in writing.
-Stallion Owners receive one free entry for the following year per stud fee donated.
-Mare owners that purchase a stud fee receive one Free entry into the weanling halter futurity for the following year.
Entry Fees: -One free entry to the Stallion Owner and one free entry to the Purchaser of the Stud Fee
-Entry fees for owners of foals by Stallions whose service sold in the auction- $35 if entered by June 1
Eligibility: Anyone who owns a foal by a Stallion whose service sold in the DCHA Stallion Service Auction and is born in the following year is eligible to enter the Weanling Halter futurity by paying the applicable Entry Fee.
Judge Selection: One judge.  Judges are usually chosen from the Wisconsin State Horse Council's list.  Judge's name is printed on showbill.
Special Awards: -Winner of the Weanling Halter Class gets photos and special notes in the next year's Stallion Service Auction catalog. 
-Highest selling stallion is promoted on the front cover of the next year's Stallion Service Auction catalog.
Changes/Goals for the Future: -To keep the futurity growing and promote the good breeding of horses. 
-Looking for sponsors and donors to help boost the jackpot.
Classes Offered: -Weanling Halter Class-connected with the SSA.
-Other Futurity classes are offered, but are not connected with the SSA.
